The aim of the research project is to establish the fundamental physical mechanisms underlying the formation, modification and interaction of functional polymer composites, hydrogels and biomaterials with nanostructures, metal ions, medicinal components, and electromagnetic, radiation and plasma effects, as well as to establish generalised relationships between ‘composition – structure – external influence – functional response’ for biomedical systems and functional polymer composites.
