Target: structural and functional analysis of psychological knowledge by teachers in the process of humanization of their activities. Methods: method of standardized interview; method of scale self-evaluation of teachers; method of modeling and resolving of psychological and pedagogical situations by teachers; method of polar characteristics; method of business games; group psychological training. Theoretical and practical results: we have elucidated the conceptual bases of innovational approach to study of psychological knowledge of teachers in the context of their relations with students under implementation of humanistic principles; we have clarified peculiarities of content, structures and functions of psychological knowledge of those teachers, who stand on the humanistic position in the training and upbringing process, as compared to knowledge or those trainers (teachers), who appertain authoritarian and directive trend in their position. We have revealed internal determinants of increasing activity of psychological knowledge by teachers; development of their ability of reflexive reflection and comprehension of internal world of students, forming up of need in implementation of interpersonally orienred approach to children, process of personal legitimization of humanistic values on the basis of reconstruction of world outlook and convictions in accordance with these values. We have elaborated active methods of psychological training of teachers, which is aimed on mastering the role of facilitators in the training and upbringing process by them, and the effective use of such knowledge of humanitarian character, corresponding to this role. New features: we have clarified the role of psychological knowledge of teachers in the process of humanization of their activities, we have proved the fact that the process of psychological training of teachers is not limited only t o the development of their cognitive sphere, but also necessarily supposes creation of such conditions of interpersonal relations of persons, participating in the pedagogical process, which assist active acquisition of knowledge of humanistic psychology by teachers, in its application by them in their professional activity. Sphere of application: workers at the institutes of re-qualification and increasing of qualification of teachers (trainers) at secondary schools and colleges, post-graduate students, students at institutes, universities, scientists undertaking research in the field of pedagogy and psychology.
