The object is non-profitable mines to be closed. The task is to evaluate their environmental and hydrogeologic state during the liquidation period. The methods of analysis and generalization are used. Differential method is recommended for the approach to defermine the volume of goaf to be flowed; the evaluation is given to the efficiency of isolating coffer-dams; a complex approach is substantiated for evaluation of mines' environmental and hydrogeologic state to decrease the opportunity of wrong engineering decisions in closure projects. The sphere of application is coal mining industry.
