The storage methods of the sugar beets samples in the knitted nets have been used and investigations with the pure fungous culture medium (pathogene of pile mould) have been carried out. It has been established that the treatment of sugar beets with the chemicals based on the PHMG has the positive influance on the sugar beets ability to be stocked and preservation of their technological quality and allows to decrease the sugar losses and increase the sugar yield. Reduction of the quantity of the rotted sugar beets by 82%, moulded and slitly rotted sugar beets by 40 and 69% respectively, in comparison with the reference samples have been observed. The average daily sugar losses during storage have decreased by 29-37%. The experimental and indust rial tests of technology have shown its promissing usage for the treatment of the sugar beets before their stocking in piles.
