Faculty of the finance and credit popup.description2 By means of X-ray and microstructure analyses the character of the component interaction in the 61 R-M-X ternary systems has been studied, where R stands for rare-earth elements, M means transition metals and X is Li, Al, Si, Ge, Sn, Sb, Bi during the full concentration interval and corresponding isothermal cross-section of phase diagrams have been built. In the systems investigated 167 new ternary compounds have been found, 9 of which represent new structure types. The boundaries of the solid solutions and homogeneity regions of the ternary phases have been established. For a number of compounds the temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility, specific electric resisitivity and Seebeck coefficient and magnetisation versus magnetic field have been measured.
