By means of X-ray and microstructure analyses the character of the component interaction in the 61 R-M-X ternary systems has been studied, where R stands for rare-earth elements, M means transition metals and X is Li, Al, Si, Ge, Sn, Sb, Bi during the full concentration interval and corresponding isothermal cross-section of phase diagrams have been built. In the systems investigated 167 new ternary compounds have been found, 9 of which represent new structure types. The boundaries of the solid solutions and homogeneity regions of the ternary phases have been established. For a number of compounds the temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility, specific electric resisitivity and Seebeck coefficient and magnetisation versus magnetic field have been measured. The results obtained may be used in working on new metallic materials on the bases of intermetallic compounds, as well as reference material for specialists working on the field of the knowledge of materials, inorganic and physical chemistry, the chemistry of solids.5635
