Homologous series of esters 4-metoxy 1,3-benzoldicarbonic acid has been synthesized, their mesomorphic properties have been investigated, banana like phase has been found in some of compounds. Database of structures and properties of 210 molecules of banana like structure has been created and 3D QSAR models have been constructed on this base, structures of novel promising banana like mesogens- derivatives of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 4 substitutes - 1,3-benzenedicarbonic acids have been determined.
