An experimental technology of the a-c:H film deposition onto optical elements of Si and Ge and onto multilayer antireflection coatings of the IR region has been devised. Experimental samples of optical IR elements with a higher (98%) transmission in the 8-12 mm range and a composite hardness of about 3.2-5.0 GPa have been prepared. The methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the elementary composition of multilayer interference coatings have been developed.
