The research object are social and labour relations; collective labour disputes (conflicts) at industrial group enterprises. The purpose of the work is development of scientific and practical recommendations for prevention and overcoming of industrial conflicts at industrial group enterprises, in particular at transport and agricultural mechanical engineering enterprises. The research methods - sociological (interviewing, focus groups, included observations), analytical, comparative, monographic, system, structural and functional, content analysis of documents. Labour conflict is a conflict between employers and workers concerning definition and application of working conditions. The contradictions between subjects of labour relations arise during this process. It was defined that the reasons that the most frequently cause deterioration of social and labour relations and contribute to arising of collective labour disputes (conflicts) have complex character. They are: 1) objective reasons, in particular: world economy globalisation, Ukraine joining WTO, EU; reformatory factors, connected with the problem of structural changes and inconsistency of reforms, which take place in Ukraine now; social and economic factors, connected with the state of economic transition in the country; reasons, connected with imperfection of legal regulation of social and labour relations including drawbacks and contradictions of Code of Laws on Labour in the field of labour relations regulation; 2) reasons of subjective character, which are mostly connected not with the general state of social-economic and political and legal situation in the society, but with actions (or divergence) of managers and workers concerning fulfilment (or not fulfilment) their labour obligations. It is shown that together with the general reasons for labour conflicts there are industrial level factors, which influence deterioration of social and labour relations andhave no direct connections with objective reasons, in particular, it is the social and psychological climate in the group. Actions for prevention and settling of collective labour disputes (conflicts) and improvement of state of social and labour relations, which include organizational and legal actions on the national, regional, industrial level are suggested together with techniques and technologies of labour conflicts prevention. The results of scientific and research work can be implemented in the activity of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service and of its regional branches, can be used by the management of enterprises, and will be useful for social partnerships on the local self-management level. The projected research object development is definition of further ways of optimisation of social and labour relations at industrial group enterprises.
