The copolymers of Polyacrylamide grafted to Dextran of different molecular weight have been synthesised. Molecular characteristic of graft copolymers were calculated from light scattering, size exclusive chromatography and viscometry data. It was established that D-g-PAA copolymers capable of binding the metal ions in water.
