Aim of the work - to work out national standards of Ukraine, which will ensure getting the high qualitative yield of these crops with minimum expenditures, keeping their economically-valuable signs. The drafts of the State Standards of Ukraine are based on the scientifically substantiated technologies of these crops growing with the use of complex mechanization, optimal doses of fertilizers, systems of plants protection against harmful organisms, irrigation et., as well as meet the modern level of science and engineering» The worked out standards are intercommunicated with the normative documents in force for environment preservation, work safety during accomplishment technological operations of growing, transportation, storage. Novelty of investigations - the standards are brought into accord with the requirements of International Standards, demands as for growing and storage, modern requests of consumers and the state system of standardization. The Standards are being worked out for the first time in Ukraine and after coming in force they will be used at farms of all forms of property, which are occupied with production, storing up and selling watermelon, melon, pumpkin, cucumber, squash, bush pattypan, carrot, table beet, white head cabbage, onion, tomato, pepper and egg-plant.
