A series of tasks has been analyzed which can be solved to be provided the ecological safety when exploring and producing oil and gas on the shelf and transporting using the panoramic hydroacoustic systems – investigation of bottom topography, bottom soil and bottom sediment, condition monitoring of bottom surface, bottom soil layers and deformation of submerged structures and their elements, remote detection of soil types and densities on the sites of submerged engineering structures, laying pipelines and cable lines, search of submerged objects, including small and silting objects. Possibilities of the up-to-date hydroacoustic means for solving these tasks, a set of required hydroacoustic equipment, software have been determined
