The objects of the research and elaboration were the means of increasing the efficiency of the verbal influence of a literature teacher on pupils. The aim of the work was to create the complete conception of general theoretic basis of effective teacher's verbal influence on pupils at Ukrainian literature classes. General principles of constructing the professional pedagogical rhetoric (a literature teacher's rhetoric, a history teacher's rhetoric, a geography teacher's rhetoric, etc.) were worked out. They were to improve mental and ethical education, to stimulate the interest towards the studying of separate school subjects. The main rhetorical laws were extrapolated into the verbal communication sphere of a literature teacher. "Golden rules "of a literature teacher's rhetoric were formed. The position of the rhetoric among the disciplines which are included in the curriculum of a literature teacher studying (aspect "the Bolognia process ") was defined.
