A total of ten grape varieties released by the Institute for Vine and Wine "Magarach" were studied for agrobiological and biochemical parameters. Cvs Krassen and Podarok Magaracha revealed good frost resistance in the winter of 2006. High technological levels of phenolics and coloring agents were found in cvs Danko (1880 mg/dm3), Tavkveri Magaracha (2000 mg/dm3) and Krassen (4700 mg/dm3), the proportion of coloring agents accounting for more than 50%. The level of coloring agents in Podarok Magaracha was 1172 mg/dm3, which is not less than admissible norms for white grapes. Polyphenol compositions of wine materials and alcohol-free concentrates made from the study varieties were studied.
