A model of fatigue damage accumulation in metallic materials that takes into account the cyclic loading rate has been developed. A novel, unified approach has been developed to determine criteria for limit states of metallic materials that occur in the areas of localized plastic deformation during the incubation and active stages of fatigue fracture. A local fracture criterion has been analytically derived whose parameters are the radius and specific surface energy of the localized plastic deformation area.5635
