Object - remodeling and repair of rat femur under the conditions of secondary endocrine osteoporosis (glucocorticoid induced, at hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, alimentary as starting mechanism of level change of parathyroid hormone). Experiments were carried out on 265 mature white laboratory rats. Hormonal disbalance was induced by injection hydrocortisone (0,5 and 5 mg/100 g body weight) L-thyroxin (25 mkg/100 g), mercazole (1 mg/100 g), also by means of keeping the rats on low calcium diet (during 5 months). Standard perforated traumatic defect was made in distal femur metaphysis for investigation of bone repair under the conditions of secondary endocrine osteoporosis. It was proved that injection of L-thyroxin, mercazole, hydrocortisone, as well as keeping the rats on low calcium diet resulted in structural changes of both woven and compact bone of femur rat which were similar osteoporotic. Intensity of disturbance manifestations depended on the model of secondary endocrine osteoporosis - bone tissue weight decreased most of all as a result of glucocorticoid induced and alimentary osteoporosis; decrease of bone quality was most clearly seen as a result of hypothyroidism. The bone repair depression under influence of exogenous mercazole, hydrocortisone and keeping the rats on low calcium diet was proved. At the inflammation stage under conditions of glucocorticoid induced osteoporosis and hypothyroidism increase of neutrophils was seen if compared with control group. Maximum values (up to 2.6 times) were observed when using hydrocortisone in the dose of 5 mg/100 g body weight. Quantity of macrophages and fibroblasts decreased in animals kept on low calcium diet. Delay of differentiation of cells of fibroblast differon, slowing down of bone formation, mineralization and regenerate remodeling were observed in all groups of animals. This process was most distinct in hypothyrosis. In animals receiving L-thyroxin acceleration of formation of tissue specific structures was seen at different stages of bone regenerate formation (7th and 14th days). Though destructive changes were observed in cells of osteoblast differon. Comprehensive approaches were developed to forecast negative results of repair osteogenesis in patients having hormone misbalance. Clinic examples were given to show disturbance of repair osteogenesis of fractures under the conditions of malfunction of thyroid gland.
