Experiments have been conducted in determining the effect of emulgation on the properties of heavy hydrocarbons and their emulsions. Thermometry and thermo gravimetric studies of the black oil and water-based mixture produced in emulgation conditions have been conducted. The cavitation treatment of the black oil-water-distillate fraction emulsion reduces viscosity and enhances chemical reactions with partial conversion of heavy hydrocarbons to distillate fractions. The thickening temperature for crude oil and black oil after such treatment has dropped by several degrees.5635
