Plants are provided with moisture both by irrigation and by creation of soil medium with optimal water permeability via improvement of soil structure. Grape plants lose considerable amounts of water through transpiration. Conservation of moisture at a desired depth and distances of the plants' root system for longer periods is enabled by an artificial moisture absorber. A unique technology of moisture conservation relies on the use of the superabsorber "TERAWET" capable to absorb and retain amounts of water hundreds of times as large as its own weight. Ukraine's energy consumption has gone down over the recent decades, leading to dramatic decreases in the volumes and gross output of the grape and wine industry. To overcome the current criisis of the industry, energy-saving and wasteless technologies should be used. A mobile chopper (ИВ-1,5) was developed for collection, chopping and distribution of the chopped mass of the pruned grapevine in spacings.5635
