We have examined the association of BMD and bone fractures risk at various sites with the TNF-alpha (-308 A/G), IL-10 (-1082 A/G), VDR (BsmI, TaqI) and ER1 (XbaI, PvuII) genes. No significant difference in BMD and bone fracture risk among TNF-alpha (-308 A/G) genotypes was detected in postmenopausal women. IL-10 A/A genotype significantly affected BMD as for the total body (Р=0.01), as for lumbar spine (Р=0.003), femoral neck (Р=0.04), and Ward's triangle (Р=0.01). XbaI polymorphisms of ER1 gene were associated with fracture risk in Ukrainian postmenopausal women. 27.0% of all incident fragility fractures occurring in genotype Ee, and 72.5 % - in genotype EE (р=0.04). Similar dependence was determined for BsmI polymorphisms of VDR gene: 51.0 % of all incident fragility fractures occurring in genotype bb (р=0.02). Among the different combinations, 50 % women with bbEE genotype had bone fractures (Р=0.003). Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
