Karazin popup.description2 The objects of study were hepatocytes, microsomal, mitochondrial and postmitochondrial fractions of liver homogenate, plasma and serum of blood of Wistar rats. The age peculiarities of prooxidant-antioxidant balance state under unbalanced by animal proteins and antioxidant vitamins content nutrition and nutritional addition were investigated. It was established, that under unbalanced nutrition the intensity of active oxygen metabolites generation was increased and some antioxidant enzymes activities were decreased. At the same time LPO products content in hepatocytes, rat liver mitochondria and microsomes and blood of rats had significantly increased in response to unbalanced diet. The changes of some indices of prooxidant-antioxidant balance in response to unbalanced diet were more expressed in old rats than in young ones. The use of nutritional addition with unbalanced diet was shown to cause significant slowing of lipid hydroperoxides and fluorescent pigment content in hepatocytes and blood serum and to increase of Se-dependent glutathione peroxidase (hepatocytes) and superoxide dismutase (blood serum) activities in experimental rats.
