The aim of the research is complex analysis of texts in modern schoolbooks in mother tongue; the analysis is dedicated to estimation of the volume, educational and world view forming efficiency of the Ukrainian studies component in the schoolbooks. Methods of the research are identification conceptioncomponent in Sociocultural, linguistic and communicative lines of schoolbooks, application of the scientific pedagogical experiment methods. Theoretical result is development of the schoolbook creation theory through combination of Sociocultural, linguistic and communicative lines of curriculum with the concept of Ukrainian language as Ukrainian studies. Practical results are creation of schoolbooks, school appliances and design of electronic schoolbook. The freshness of the research consists in determination of terminological conception of the Ukrainian studies component in mother tongue schoolbook. The criteria of evaluating the Ukrainian studies component in examined sources are defined. A new approach towards embodiment of the Ukrainian studies content was proposed. Efficiency of introduction is secured by edition and spread approbation of a new generation of schoolbooks in Ukrainian language at schools of general education.
