The aim of research is to identify the levels of adaptation to studing at school of the primary school pupils with specific needs and develop social and pedagogical conditions of their adaptation to school on the basis of theoretical analysis of the problem of adaptation of the primary school pupils with specific needs in comprehensive school. The methods of the research are the following: the analysis of scientific literature, its synthesis, classification, comparison and generalization, observation, the methods of survey, standarlized and psychodiagnostic procedures, social and pedagogical experiment, statistic methods of the received results handling. The theoretical importance of the received results consists in development of socia and pedagogical conditionsl for adaptation of the primary school pupils with specific needs to studing in comprehensive school. The practical importanse consists in such methods as technique of determination of the adaptation levels of the primary school pupils with specific needs to studing at school and methodic recommendations for parents and teachers regarding improvement of adaptation to school of children with development defects. The scientific novelty of the research cosists in the following: we first proved social and pedagogical conditions of adaption of the primary school pupils with specific needs to studying in comprehensive school; we defined criteria, indeces and levels of adaptation of the primary school pupils with specific needs to studing in comprehensive school; we specified the essence of the notion "social and pedagogical adaptation " of the personality with specific needs. The received data may be applied to studing social and pedagogical, psychologic aspects of adaptation of the primary school age cheildren with specific needs to studing in comprehensive schools. Also the data may be used during training of the appropriate personnel for the organization and administration of the process of the academic, social, psychologic adaptation of pupils with specific needs to studying at educational institutions.
