The purpose of the investigation is to systematise the experience of creating and introducing testing technologies in classic university (NAUKMA) and world testing experience. Also, the paper recommends possible ways to introduce testing technologies in order to formulate the entrance refuirements concerning higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The method of investigation consists in generalisation of the experience based on considering intellectual potentials of applicants through testing and finding out the data of relative character. Analysed are prognostic validities via the data of coefficient of correlation of various dependencies, which are accessible to us because of the NAUKMA electronic data on applicants and students testing results since 2003. Taken info consideration are statistic data of students (bachelor graduates of 2009) and their grading results from the entrance campaign (while using testing technologies of NAUKMA. Further, analysed is repetitiveness of comparable grading data of testing while using testing tasks of Ukrainian Centre for organisation of quality assessment (UCOQA) under NAUKMA methods of testing. Investigated are comparable data of knowledge shown by analogous testing tasks in the Ukrainian language done by applicants in 2003 and 2009. Also, the experiment was carried out to define the level of knowledge of applicants who entered NAUKMA in 2009 (undertaken in order to monitor the level of knowledge according to the testing technology of External independent CEIA). Analysed are the most important stages and problems concerning the volume and the content of testing tasks, the format of their introduction and the technologies of assessment (taking into account elements of psychological, analytical and sociological investigation of results gained from using this technology during 1992-2009 academic years in NAUKMA). The research gave the possibility to indicate the criteria necessary for higher educational institutions in order to define the optimal structure of tests and the technology of finding the testing results In its research NAUKMA used the unique opportunity to consider repetitiveness of the testing results undertaken by UCOQA ( in 2008) and fixation of the applicants grading position according to the results of UCOQA and NAUKMA testing (formed on the basis of testing materials of EIA. The practical experience of entrance testing technologies undertaken for many years and analysis of the data base on NAUKMA students make it possible to consider that the conclusions on the research provide objective information about importance and effectiveness of testing technologies introduction into the entrance procedure campaign of higher educational institutions. The undertaken research asserts that the technology of entrance testing selection of NAUKMA students proves its effectiveness even in comparison with the competitive selection based on the results of EIA. The uniqueness of the NAUKMA testing means that it combines identification of the grading (comparable) data of the applicants competence in each speciality separately, but throughout the procedure of writing the same test in the identical conditions having the format of multiple choice testing tasks (one correct-answer within 5 variants) and the express-method of competitive selection (on the same day, in the presence of applicants, parents, observers ). The advantages of this technology are objectivity, transparency, low cost. Undertaken is the generalization of the NAUKMA experience in the so here of investigating intellectual potential of the applicant via the testing method (defining the level of a cumulating knowledge, the general intellectual development and the level of some psychic processes development) via the data of the relative character.
