The possibility using of GeS type lamellar crystals for creation of a new generation of linear-polarized light photodetectors is shown. On the base of GexS1-x glasses a competitive acoustooptical modulators and deflectors of laser radiation are developed. Ge-Bi-S glasses it is possible to use for creation of optical magnitudes sensors.
