The influence of different types of disordering: topological, composition, proper (caused by deviation from stoichiometry) and impurity one on their electronic properties and vibrational spectra is studied on the example of binary and ternary chalcogenides of IV group. The possibility using of GeS type lamellar crystals for creation of a new generation of linear-polarized light photodetectors is shown. On the base of GexS1-x glasses a competitive acoustooptical modulators and deflectors of laser radiation are developed. Ge-Bi-S glasses it is possible to use for creation of optical magnitudes sensors.
