Aim: to improve efficiency of medical care on an outpatient basis and in a hospital for the patients with the widespread internal diseases being based on the most informing pharmacoeconomical and quality of life indexes. Methods: complete clinical, laboratory and instrumental examination according to national and international guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, peptic duodenum and stomach ulcers, pulmonary embolism, arterial hypertension using methods well-known in therapeutic practice; sociological research (questionnaire of general practitioner, patients), pharmacoeconomical analysis(estimation of cost-minimization, cost-effectiveness, direct and indirect costs of the disease);assessment of the quality of life by Ukrainian version of the International Questionnaire MOS SF-36 ; statistical analysis (SPSS 12, Statistica 5.5).
