A set of design documentation is developed and prototype system ШАИ-8 is developed. The system is tested for conformity with the occupational and industrial safety regulations requirements and capability to be operated in Ukrainian coal mines. It has passed acceptance test in underground conditions of the Mine Gornyak-95. The method of underground measurements of the natural pulse electromagnetic field is improved and flow charts for using ШАИ-8 in coal mines are developed. Underground experimental survey using equipment ШАИ-8 is conducted.
