Objective (for the whole period): to identify the development tendencies in the sphere of ICT education in the contest of competency based approach in the system of education in Ukraine and abroad to give recommendations for Ukrainian specialists on positive use of experience. Methods: systematic approach to the information search, investigation of the facts, analysis of tendencies, comparative pedagogical studies, generation of positive experience, analysis and synthesis. Theoretical and practical results: are in the investigation of tendencies of ICT implementation in secondary schools in European countries, USA, Russia as well as in Ukraine which give the possibility to elaborate recommendations for Ukrainian education system on: - Improvement of the effectiveness of e-learning; - Informatization of management and administration processes in secondary education system; - ICT application in language teaching; - ICT application in the process of social disciplines teaching; - Development of professional social networks in the sphere of secondary school teaching. The result of the common work is reflected into the methodological manual "Informational and communicational technologies of teaching in the system of general secondary education in foreign countries".
