The investigation had the following 4 directions: 1) theoretical validation of principles of contrastive analysis of vocabulary; development of a conception of compiling contrastive dictionaries; 2) compiling word lists to contrastive dictionaries and dictionaries of specific concepts; 3) compiling entries to contrastive “English-Ukrainian Dictionary of False Friends“, “ Ukrainian-English Dictionary of False Friends “ English-Russian Dictionary of False Friends“, “ Russian-English Dictionary of False Friends”; dictionaries of specific concepts of the English, Ukrainian and Russian languages, 3) writing papers and reports to congresses and conferences (more than 40).
