THE OBJECT OF RESEARCH: the development of teacher education in European integration .. SUBJECT OF RESEARCH: theoretical ideas and practical approaches to modernizing the system of training and professional development of teachers in the context of European and Euro-Atlantic educational space .. AIM: based on analysis of key trends upgrade teacher education in the European and Euro-Atlantic educational environment to identify and characterize promising innovative approaches to improving the national system of vocational training and professional development of teachers. METHODS: Specific object studies have identified the use of such methods: 1) interpret - analytical method, through which the study of Ukrainian and foreign documentary sources using synthesis, analogy, systematizing, generalizing, and 2) the method of comparative-historical analysis, 3) empirical methods (interviews, conversation, observation, expert evaluation), 4) methods of theoretical generalization 5) chronologically, systematic method for studying the evolution of goals, study trends in the integration processes in Europe. THE METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF RESEARCH: philosophical and methodological, psychological, educational provision for the development of a qualitatively new system of teacher training in higher educational establishment and professional development throughout life, principles and historical stage elucidation of the idea of reforming the education system as the basis of the modernization process of preparing students teacher training institutions, systemic, structural-functional, and synergistic activity of the organization and training of future teachers.
