Peculiarities of formation of composite zones near inclusions containing micro- and nanophases were studied. Peculiarities of laser melting and crystallization of non-metallic inclusions were investigated/ It was shown main role of interphase inclusion-steel matrix boundaries in the development of corrosive processes. It was shown possibility of receipt of composite material with carbide inclusions, which improves the mechanical properties of the cutting tool surface, increase of resistance by 50% and the wear resistance of 1.5-1.8 times.
