Research object are processes of surface plastic deformation. Goal of the research is to achieve higher quality of the components through improvement of the manufacturing methods for hardening the components by surface plastic deformation and creating phenomenological model of hardening and damage accumulation processes in the deformation region, which was used as a basis for evaluation of the process parameters influence on hardening degree and plasticity resource as well as provision of the necessary laws of their variation by means of mechatronic drive application. Stress-strain state in the component surface layer is determined by the method of slip lines and finite element method. The dependences were obtained of the stress intensity accumulated plastic deformation indicators of stress state аnd on pressing depth as well as on the ball diameter and on the diameter and radius of the roller working surface for the component with flat and curved surface. Calibration chart, flow curve, plasticity diagram and ultimate strain surface for steel 45 are built. Pressure control valve and check valve circuit and design are developed on the basis of a single valve element. Working processes were investigated in the hydraulic drive with a proportional electrohydraulic pressure control valve and in the pneumatic drive with a proportional pressure regulator. Such parameter interrelation is determined that provides maximal speed of response, minimal vibration and stable hydraulic drive operation. Standard size of the pressure regulator in the pneumatic drive is chosen.
