The method of determination of power of the nominal mode of passenger electric locomotives is developed. Recommendations in relation to composition of passenger and speed-up passenger trains with the electric locomotive ДС3 are offered. Conclusions in relation to the fitness of the electric locomotive ДС3 for realization of the set level of technical speed with by trains in passenger motion are done. The algorithm of decision of task of optimum traffic control of train with the minimum expense of energy and limitation of time is developed. The programmatic practical implementation module of the offered algorithm is created.
