Object of investigations is the potato, which is grown under drop irrigation, is stored up and realized for using fresh and industrial processing. The aim of the standard elaboration is the improvement of production quality, lessening of its losses, growth of the technological production effectiveness. The standard reflects the most optimum way of potato output, the meets the requirements of the working standards for fresh potato. The results of long-term researches in the field of technology of growing potato have been put down in the basis of the standard for potato growing technology under drop irrigation, which have been held in the Institute of vegetable and meloning UAAS and other scientific establishments with the use of reference material (collections, reference books, recommendations, etc.) and materials of native and world literature. The indices of quality, which have been established in the national standard, will promote to the of high quality potato output under drop irrigation. The devised standard is interconnected with the existing normative documents: SSU 2175-93 "Vegetables. Terms and Definitions"; with standards for potato fresh, which is aimed for realization fresh and industrial processing, as well as with normative documents, in which the demands as to the work safety for people's life and health, environmental protection and others. The novelty of investigations: In the devised standard all the technological operations are given in that succession, which must be kept to in the process of potato growing under drop irrigation, methods of checking and estimation of work quality, as well as demands on safety and environmental protection. Standard, after its putting into force, will be applied in farmings of Ukraine of different forms of property, which are engaged in production, purchase and realization of potato.
