Prolonged deficiency of thyroid hormones in all structural components of the brain and the sciatic nerve causes changes, which in congenital and acquired hypothyroidism have the same orientation, but differ in their dynamics. The combination therapy of congenital and acquired hypothyroidism with L-thyroxine and calcitonin largely prevents the formation of hypothyroid encephalopathy and polyneuropathy, but can not completely neutralize their manifestation. The pharmacotherapy of tireoidektomirovanyh rats with L-thyroxine, calcitonin and epadolom prevents the development of more destructive and degenerative changes. Epadol has more pronounced positive effect in the sciatic nerve than in the brain.
