The object of research is the process of operation and development of national economy as a structural phenomenon. The goal defined stages of research was developing science-based recommendations for streamlining the structure of the national economy. Methods of investigation - the dialectical, formal logic, analysis and synthesis, abstraction, generalization, analogy, systematic and comparative analysis, forecasting, statistical, economic and mathematical. The most significant results are as following: formulated the basic principles underlying the formation and implementation of structural policies; The conceptual framework of choice criteria base rationalization of the structure of the national economy, created a system of criteria for optimizing the structure of the national economy, assesses the effectiveness of the mechanisms of state regulation of structural changes at the national and regional levels; acquired further development of methodological approaches to forecasting and modeling household sector, which allowed to justify the priorities of structural adjustment in the orientation of the economy for social purposes, the choice of methods of diagnosis and prediction of structural changes, developed a method of adaptive forecasting in terms of risks and uncertainties, which proposed to use in the formation mechanisms of structural reforming the national economy; defined priorities of the structural transformation of the national economy gained further development of theoretical and methodological framework of structural adjustment of the economy, focusing on reducing resource capacity; proposed use of multicomponent approach to assess the synergistic effect of the structural adjustment of national economy in the context of resource capacity; given to assess the formation and property management in local communities baseline in the context of optimizing the economic structure at the municipal and regional levels; reasonable approach to the integration process as an instrument of structural policy at the regional level. As a result of research developed policy papers, science-based recommendations and techniques that are sent to central and local executive authorities, local authorities, which were confirmed by relevant references. In the context of state budgetary research defended two doctoral and four master's theses, published a textbook "National Economy", published chapters in two books.
