Aim: to develop scientific and methodological support teaching mentally retarded children of different age groups, including correctional and developing education content targeting children in this category, humanitarization of modern education and in accordance with the requirements of State Standard. Methods of work: theoretical (analysis of general and special psychological, educational literature), empirical (analysis of school records and products of students, the study of teaching experience, observation of the educational process and interviewing teachers and students, the search experiment).
