Detected the ability of peptidoglycan cell wall of Staphylococcus aureus increase the contractility of smooth muscle myometrial estrogen-treated and pregnant rats. Revealed that the peptidoglycan increases myometrial contractility due to formation of platelet activating factor, which stimulates production of inositol phosphates and activates the PI3K / ERK ? / p38 MAK metabolic pathways in rat myometrial SMC. Platelet activating factor can play a role as one of the factors of induction of premature birth caused intrauterine staphylococcal infection.
