Mitochondrial pore (MP) activator antimycin A caused a similar effect. Current through the KATF channels was without change. Decrease of total current amplitude was associated with inhibition of BKCa channels. The analysis of Kv and KATF channels genetic potential showed overexpression of mRNA Kv 1.5. and Kir 6.2.- subunit under irradiation. Mitochondrial pore blocker cyclosporine A (CsA) did not alter potassium current in healthy animals and significantly increased it after irradiation. It may indicate the MP involvement in SMC disorders development in oxidative stress. It was shown mitochondrial energy production decrease in radiation-induced hypertension. Diazoxide (mitochondrial K+ ATP-channels agonist) evoked the mitochondrial breathing acceleration in states V2 and V4 and respiratory depression in state V3 by Chance. Diazoxide did not change mitochondrial respiration under irradiation. CsA increased the respiratory function of isolated intact mitochondria in states V2, V3, and decreased ATP synthesis. Antimycin A caused the same changes. Electron transport chain inhibition decreased the calcium sensitivity of aortic smooth muscle cells that was increased in spontaneously hypertensive rats. Irradiated cells showed a decrease in the calcium sensitivity during the stable phase of ACh-induced relaxation. It was observed small intrapulmonary arteries endothelium-dependent tension increase under hypoxia. Reperfusion of isolated heart caused inhibition of pump and contractile function, which intensified by CsA action. At the same time, CsA completely prevents the development of reperfusion arrhythmias. The MP induction by antimycin A in isolated heart led to the functional activity suppression similar to acute ischemia and radiation impact.
