Aim of research: elaboration and experimental verification of teaching materials for the formation of the professional competence of future teachers. Methods of investigation: theoretical analysis, examination of teaching-methodical documentation, observation, oral test (questionnaire design, tests, conversation), pedagogical experiment etc. The essence of professional competence of future teacher is specified. The meaning of competent approach while choosing the professional activity is revealed. The characteristics of special disciplines and their influence on the formation of professional competence are discovered. The expedience of teaching content structuring according to the modal programmes and methodical supply and application of modern technologies is determined. In our research are determined the structure of future teachers training in the process of learning of decorative and applied art disciplines, the pedagogical conditions of students’ independent work, peculiarities of project-technological training of future teachers as well as the application of modern informational technologies. Didactical supply of main courses is elaborated and experimentally verified. The practical value of research: developed curricula and didactical supply help to form the professional competence and improve the quality of future teachers training.
