The Czochralski method was used for the growth of single crystals of binary tungstates, molybdates and vanadates for laser engineering and nonlinear optics. The synthesis condiions and the growth parametrs of the obtained crystals were detemined. The Bridgman method was used to grow ZnSe:Cr2+, CdSe:Cr2+, ZnSe:Fe2+ and CdSe:Fe2+ single crystals and their solid solutions, meant for laser engineering. Performed was a comprehensive investigation of their properties.
