The aim of work - to analyse features of functioning of fire-technical and rescue terminology as systems of the terminological units, to research the specificity of the translation of fire-technical and rescue terms and to systematize of the fire-technical and rescue term system. The methods of research - in this work is used descriptive (linguistic supervision, comparison, generalization), statistical methods of the contextual and componental analysis. The solving method of making of dictionary was comparative method of the diachronic and simultaneous translation. In the issue of systematization and standardization of translation of the fire-technical units and rescue term system the English-Russian-Ukrainian dictionary of terms of the fire-technical and rescue specialities in content of 15 thousand words and word combinations is made. The results of SRW are introduced in the form of the translation English-Russian-Ukrainian dictionary of the fire-technical terms in educational process of NUCDU and similar educational establishments, and also in practical activities of divisions of the MOE of Ukraine.
