However in the course of processing there is a breakage of one or several tips which leads to necessity to interrupt process of cutting and to carry out replacement. These expenses are reflected in efficiency of process as a whole. Therefore creation of a tool material which has high strength, fracture strength is the actual task, and considering that Ukraine has till now no own manufacturer of tips for processing of the wheel pairs, the put task becomes actual doubly. Perspective method of manufacturing through-away tips is the method of hot pressing with direct transmission a current. Nanopowders of tungsten monocarbide used for manufacturing of tips. Patterns of consolidation of powders, namely mechanisms of compaction of tungsten monocarbide have been studied at hot pressing. Mechanical characteristics of samples (hardness, fracture strength, flexural strength at break) are received. Optimum regimens of hot pressing of tips (temperature, pressure, time of heating) have been established. After processing 10 tips have passed control on hardness, density and coercive field strength.
