This work is based on the principle of an integrated approach to its implementation: hazards of welding and their effects on welders and workers of related professions were studied. Main types of pathologies were considered. The requirements for protective, operational, hygienic and ergonomic properties of the means of protection of welders were formulated. Selection of materials and their compositions, which can provide high quality products, was performed. The principle of creating technological designs, based on criteria of typing and unification, as well as minimizing the number of parts and anatomic cut was used for designing uniforms. Welder's suits were developed with taking microclimate if working area into consideration at the first time. Summer, winter and midseason suits that include season-specific hygiene respiration kits for protecting body of welder from not only heat, but also toxic gases and vapor were developed. A costume for welder "EKONOM-1" with prolonged period of use was developed. Design, technological, regulatory and technical documentation for the mass production of personal protective kit for welders that include special clothing, hand protection, auxiliary security features (aprons, vests, balaclavas) and lightweight multifunctional filtering respirator mask "Mriya" which is combined with a shield of welder was developed. A catalyst for low-temperature ozone decomposition for respirator mask "Mriya" was developed.
