The conceptual bases of socio-geographical research of integral potential of regions and cities - centers of socio-economic activity are developed. The method of estimation of integral potential is offered. The determining role of separate constituents of integral potential (human, production, financial, transport and potential of the landed resources) is exposed for regions and cities development. There are given recommendations in the relation to integral potential activation of Kyiv region districts and potential of Kyivsyke Prydniprov'ya centers.
