The objects of the research are localizing systems of safety (LSS) of the units of nuclear power plants (NPP), the requirements to the project (designing, manufacturing, erecting and/or mounting, pre-operational testing) and exploitation (in particular, to the maintenance, repair, operational testing, inspection , registration, etc.) of LSS of the units of NPPs.The objective of phase of SRW - development of the first edition of the requirements to the project and operation of LSS of the units of NPPs.The results of SRW - there was performed the analysis of requirements and recommendations to the project and exploitation of LSS as set out in national regulations (NR) PNAE G 10 021 90, PNAE G 10 007 89, PNAE G 10 012 89, in the documents of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) , Western European Nuclear Regulator's Assocіatіon (WENRA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), in the NR of the Russian Federation, analyzed operating experience LSS of the Ukrainian NPPs, as well as the consequences of accidents at NPP "Fukushima 1" (Japan) in terms of performance and faults of LSS; on results of the analysis there was worked out the first edition of RG "Requirements for the localizing safety systems of the units of the nuclear power plants".
