Objects of research - completing furniture materials and harmful factors in furniture manufacture. The work purpose: a sanitary-and-hygienic estimation of completing materials for manufacturing of furniture and a working condition in furniture manufacture. Research methods: sanitary-chemical, toxicological, radiological, microbiological, physical, statistical. The modern furniture is characterized by high levels of migration of harmful chemical substances - formaldehyde (to 0,095 mg/m3), ammonia (to 2,0 mg/m3), styrene (to 0,125 mg/m3), dibutyl phthalate (to 0,22 mg/m3), acetone (to 0,39 mg/m3), dichloroethane (to 1,08 mg/m3), toluene diisocyanate (to 0,04 mg/m3), xylol (to 0,45 mg/m3). Subchronic influence of formaldehyde thus can cause toxic action and immunetoxic influence on an organism of porpoises. Level of pollution of the wood which are a part of furniture, a radio nuclide 137Cs – no more than 34 Bk/kg. Backing and polyvinylchloride surfaces of furniture make stimulating impact on growth of some kinds of mushrooms and a mold (Аspergillus flavus, Аspergillus fumigatus, Аspergillus niger, Penicillium natatut, Alternaria alternata, Cladosporium). In conditions manufactures of furniture by harm major factors are low mechanized work, influence of chemical substances, a dust and noise loading that proves to be true natural gaugings and the data of questioning of workers. The conducted researches have allowed to develop a number of practical recommendations concerning manufactures and operation modern furniture for prevention of their adverse effect on a human.
