It were considered the main design features of the bogies of passenger cars. It were made the analysis of research of the dynamics of passenger cars for high-speed traffic. The main tendencies of development and improvement of passenger cars bogies design for high-speed and normal traffic were determined. Due to the fact that the passenger car is one of the most important means of transport on the railways and its properties directly can affect the life and health, the improvement of ride qualities of passenger cars is a very important scientific and technical problem. It were made a predesign research to identify possible ways to improve the design of base model of passenger car bogie, which contains spring suspension. It was determined that using the basic design scheme of passenger car bogie, the main element that needs improvement is the spring suspension. It were developed a number of options for the design version of spring suspension elements. It were developed technical documentation for the proposed options of improving the design of passenger car bogies.
