Object of study - a system of public finance. The subject of research - the mechanisms, instruments and measures of state management of public finances to secure the competitiveness of national economy. Purpose - to identify key areas of strengthening the role of public finance to increase the competitiveness of the national economy of Ukraine on the basis of justification for the relationship and interdependence of public finances and national economic competitiveness. Research methods: graphical, system-analytical, comparison, statistical analysis, economic and mathematical modeling, which is the method of research. Research results: the theoretical foundations of application of the public financial management to ensure the competitiveness of the economy, analyzes the financial leverage of competitiveness of economy of Ukraine set a number of concepts related to the financial mechanism of increasing the competitiveness of national economy. Scientific novelty: defines the relationship between public finance and high level of competitiveness of the Ukrainian state, outlines the basic mechanisms and instruments of government regulation enhance competitiveness, the model of the application potential of public finance of Ukraine to achieve a high level of competitiveness of national economy.
