Technical investigation and tests were carried out for a railway conveyor for TK-8 container, 1986 year of manufacture, intended for the transportation of spent atomic fuel as by domestic railway lines of Chernobyl Atomic Power Station, so by the railway lines of exclusion zone. The purpose of technical state investigation and testing is determination of a possibility for further conveyor operation after standard operation time is over, and also for assignment of the necessary maintenance. Results of the following experimental investigations are given in the report: - conveyor examination by visual optical control; - conveyor examination by non-destructive testing; - strength tests from vertical load effect; - strength calculation of the conveyor frame. Research results are used for defining the possibility of further operation of the railway conveyor for container TK-8.
